Disposable Hearing Aids
Disposable Hearing Aids provide a great temporary solution to helping with hearing loss problems. As a non-permanent solution, they are now reasonably priced.
If you have mild to moderate hearing loss who believes that the price tags of digital and custom-fit hearing aids a trifle too much, a disposable hearing aid just might be what you needed. These hearing aids were recently developed, and while it does provide a cheaper alternative, it doesn't hurt to find out what it is basically about.

Disposable hearing aids are analog hearing instruments, and just like any analog instrument, it means that the problem if background noise still exists. However, since it is only recommended for people with mild to moderate loss of hearing, it also means that the sounds aren't super-amplified. Most disposable hearing aids also have this mushroom cap that can fit quite decently. If it's a perfect fit, the acoustic seal would do a good job in warding off feedback and whistling.

Advantages of the use of a disposable hearing aid include its significantly lower price, the speed and the ease of which you can obtain one, and the absence of repair and maintenance efforts and costs. While it is strongly recommended that you consult a licensed physician before using a hearing aid, most disposable hearing aids in the market are readily available. This makes it an attractive option for people whose hearing problem has been more or less confirmed, and wants hearing aids ASAP.

Unlike custom-designed hearing instruments, there is no need for you to wait for the device to be manufactured. All you have to do is buy one and wait for the hearing aid to be delivered in a few days. There is little need for repairs, and when your hearing aid does need one, you can easily have it replaced by the manufacturer or chuck it out, (depends upon the warranty policy). Since you are not going to use the device for a long time, there is less earwax buildup, making it a low-maintenance option.

Disposable hearing aids are not without fault though. For one, it has a short life span. You can only use it for a couple of months, after which, you have to buy one again. And since it is not custom designed, you might not feel as comfortable as you would with a custom-fit hearing aid. It isn't also as programmable as digital hearing aids so there is lower manageability of volume and background noises.

Keep in mind that a disposable hearing aid is not a long-term solution. It can only help with the problems in functionality that can otherwise be caused by hearing impairment. If you are expecting a reversible hearing problem to be cured, say by surgery, then this temporary solution is perfect.
